Privacy at QuoteWire
QuoteWire is designed to work without an account. The free version keeps your business details, quotes, invoices and records in browser storage on the device you use. QuoteWire does not currently sync those documents to a QuoteWire cloud account.
Browser storage
The site uses browser storage for core features such as your selected trade, business details, saved documents and your analytics preference. This storage is necessary for the app to remember your work. Clearing browser data can remove locally stored QuoteWire documents.
Optional analytics
Google Analytics is optional. It is not loaded until you choose “Accept analytics”. If you decline, QuoteWire continues to work normally and analytics remains off.
When analytics is enabled, it can collect standard usage information such as pages viewed, events used, device/browser information, approximate location derived from network information and traffic-source information. QuoteWire uses this information to understand how the product is being used and where it needs improving.
Advertising storage, ad-user-data and ad-personalisation signals are kept disabled in QuoteWire’s consent settings.
Changing your choice
You can reopen the analytics choice panel at any time using “Analytics choices” in the QuoteWire footer. Your preference is stored in your browser.
Customer and job information
Information you type into a quote, invoice or job record is stored locally in your browser in the current free version, unless you deliberately copy, print, export or otherwise send it elsewhere.
Pro founding list
If you join the QuoteWire Pro founding list, QuoteWire collects the email address and trade you submit, plus any optional feature request you choose to add. This information is used to manage the early-interest list and contact you about the Pro launch, founding-price availability and closely related QuoteWire Pro updates.
Founding-list submissions are sent to QuoteWire through Netlify Forms rather than being stored only in your browser. You can ask for your founding-list information to be removed by emailing hello@quotewire.co.uk.
Third parties
If you enable analytics, Google processes analytics data for QuoteWire. Google’s own privacy terms and retention practices also apply to that processing.
If you join the Pro founding list, Netlify processes the form submission on QuoteWire’s behalf so it can be delivered to the QuoteWire site account.
